2024 Brother Nature Field Blend

Trophy + Gold
Australian & New Zealand Boutique Wine Awards

Inspired by Austria’s traditional Gemischter Satz, this authentic Field Blend is grown from 12 white varieties interplanted within a single vineyard block. This intimate co-existence allows each variety to influence the others, creating natural harmony in ripening and flavour development. The fruit is hand-harvested and co-fermented using wild yeasts — a wine truly made in the vineyard, not the winery.

The nose is fragrant with notes of pear skin, custard apple and lime peel. The palate is delicately vibrant, revealing layers of apple, lime and a touch of lychee, all carried by a shimmering line of natural acidity and a long, juicy finish.

A beautiful match for raw or cured seafood (ceviche, sashimi), shellfish, pork, creamy sauces and South East Asian cuisine or salads.

“This is a curious field blend, expressive and vinous, with citrus-driven aromas of green melon, talc and white orchard fruit. The palate is light-bodied with a generous texture and fine-boned acidity that makes it very refreshing. A blend of 11 different white varieties all picked together and fermented."

“Whoa! This is twelve different white grape varieties that are co-planted that get co-fermented into this wine. This is delicious! Slippery texture, crisp acidity, tonic water and nashi pear with sweet spice, touches of alpine herb and cut grass. Great sense of weight and concentration yet freshness. Super fun drinking and really original. Awesome.”
