2023 Reserve Gruner Veltliner

Trophy - Best Wine From Australia
Frankfurt International Trophy, Germany
Gold
Berlin Wine Trophy, Germany

Crafted from hand-harvested fruit, our Reserve Gruner Veltliner is wild-fermented in seasoned French barriques and matured on lees for 11 months, followed by an additional 11 months in bottle prior to release - a wine of rare patience and precision.

The nose is richly expressive with notes of peach, nectarine skin, crushed tarragon and gentle spice. The palate offers generous layers of yellow stone fruit, citrus peel and a hint of toasted almond, beautifully balanced by vibrant acidity and a fine thread of spice. The finish is long and textural, with a refined, savoury edge.

Serve well chilled to highlight its complexity and poise.

“Complex aromas of Asian pears, white rose petals, lemon confit and talcum powder with a minerally and saline edge. The palate is mid-weighted and textural, with a great core of fruit, a creamy mouthfeel and a slight phenolic grip. Made from the oldest gruner vines on the estate and fully barrel fermented."
